Stop the Madness

I wasn’t going to dignify this with a post. But then it happened again – I saw the beast a second time and I couldn’t remain quiet. Somehow, more than one person (in Manch-vegas, no less) decided that in this time of economic crisis and global warming, what we need most is . . .

Should Nonprofits Tweet?

Answer: It depends.

On what, you say?

Well, for starters, the type of nonprofit. Social welfare organizations, grassroots political activists—anyone with a message or a cause—can potentially harness the power of Twitter to spread the word like wildfire. Case in point: #iranelection. When used wisely, it could be mind-bogglingly effective.

However, I’ve noticed a trend among other nonprofits—arts organizations, in particular—to use Twitter, frankly, wrong. The difference seems to be a drive to sell v. raising awareness.

GLOW Teaser

I took a break from slicing and dicing my manuscript for Glow this afternoon to play. With MovieMaker. :)

Yes, thank you, I am a geek.

Though the book is still being polished, here’s the trailer. Enjoy!

Blog Update

You may have noticed a sudden influx of Archived Blogs. This is because I recently moved my MySpace blog over to this one. Most of the posts are from 2006 & 2007 and feature my Dating 101 series and Adventures in Commuting. Since I no longer commute or date, they’ve been discontinued, but they still make me giggle and I thought I’d share. :)
