“Libiamo” Among the Lemons
I love when I hear about nonprofits doing innovative marketing like this: Granted, they didn’t think of the idea first (they were inspired by this stunt), but the execution was fabulous. Just look at all those SMILES in the audience! You can’t buy that kind of goodwill, you have to create it.
Museums and YouTube

Should Nonprofits Tweet?
Answer: It depends.
On what, you say?
Well, for starters, the type of nonprofit. Social welfare organizations, grassroots political activists—anyone with a message or a cause—can potentially harness the power of Twitter to spread the word like wildfire. Case in point: #iranelection. When used wisely, it could be mind-bogglingly effective.
However, I’ve noticed a trend among other nonprofits—arts organizations, in particular—to use Twitter, frankly, wrong. The difference seems to be a drive to sell v. raising awareness.
Twitter an Opera Plot UPDATE
The winner of the Twitter an Opera Plot contest is giving his prize to a Washington DC based music teacher. It’s nice when good people get what they deserve, isn’t it?
Twitter an Operaplot — GENIUS!
I’m terribly disappointed. Somehow, I managed to miss the Twitter an Operaplot contest that’s been going on since March! Seriously, people, someone needs to alert me to these kind of things! The winners have already been announced, but I’m keeping an eye out for next year.
